HFM minimum deposit by account type
HFM (HF Markets) sets a different minimum deposit for each account. How to read its account comparison, and what it says about deposit fees and time.
Published ・ MyBrokerBonus Editorial

HFM (HF Markets) offers several account types, so “What is the HFM minimum deposit?” has no single answer. It depends on the account. This guide shows where to find each account’s minimum and how to read it, using what HFM writes on its own pages. Bonus and contest terms are covered in other guides, so they are left out here.
Amounts and times appear only in the table below, never in the text, because HFM can change them. The table is rebuilt from this site’s data every time the site is updated. Read the official page for the current details before you deposit.
1. HFM accounts and deposit facts at a glance
The broker’s basic facts are in one table. Only the items we could confirm are shown. A missing row means we could not confirm it on the official pages. The account types row shows each account’s minimum deposit, and the payment methods, deposit fee and deposit time rows cover how you pay.

2. Reading the minimum deposit account by account
The account types row lists the account names from HFM’s account comparison page, each with its minimum deposit. The amounts differ by account, so decide which account you want first and then read that account’s amount. We do not suggest picking an account on the minimum alone. When you compare accounts, read these four columns side by side.
- 1Minimum depositThe smallest amount that account asks for. It may be written once for each currency.
- 2Account currencyThe currencies the account can be held in. The amount in row 1 is counted in one of them.
- 3SpreadThe lowest spread the broker states for that account. It is the lowest, not the usual.
- 4CommissionSome accounts charge a commission per trade and others do not. Read it together with the spread.
XX stands for an amount. The real amounts are in the table above. A low minimum does not make an account cheaper to trade on.
Trading cost is a good example. On HFM’s account comparison page, some accounts charge no commission and some charge one on each trade. An account with a low minimum is not necessarily cheap to trade on. The table in this guide shows only the account name and its minimum, so compare the spread and the commission on HFM’s account comparison page itself.
The account currency also differs by account. On HFM’s comparison page the minimum can be written once for each of US dollars, euros and yen. Read the amount for the currency your own account will use.
One more thing to watch. The columns on HFM’s comparison page include a name “Top-up Bonus” next to the account names, and the table shows it under that name. This site’s data cannot tell whether it is an ordinary account type or something separate tied to a bonus. If you plan to use it, check the official page.
3. Think of the minimum deposit as three different numbers
“Minimum deposit” can mean three separate things. The account types row in the table shows the first one, the account minimum.
- 1The account minimumSet per account type
The smallest first deposit the broker asks for on that account. The table on this page shows this one.
- 2The deposit-method minimumSet per way of paying
Bank transfer, card, e-wallet and crypto can each have their own lowest amount. It can be higher than the account minimum.
- 3The bonus minimumSet per offer, or none
A deposit bonus can ask for its own minimum. Some offers state none. It is written in that offer's terms.
A low account minimum does not mean every method or bonus accepts that amount. Check all three on the official pages.
A low account minimum does not help if the method you pick has a higher minimum of its own, because that higher number then sets what you can deposit. Check each method’s minimum on HFM’s deposit page. The third number, the bonus minimum, depends on the bonus. If you want a bonus, read its terms before you deposit.
4. Deposit methods, fees and how long a deposit takes
HFM groups its deposit methods in three: bank transfers, credit or debit cards, and an “Alternative” group. On fees, HFM says it does not apply any deposit fees. On timing, the table shows a short upper limit, and some methods are instant. The figure below follows a deposit in order and shows where to check each step.
- Choose a deposit methodHFM lists bank transfers, credit or debit cards, and an Alternative group.
- Check the lowest amount for that methodA method can have a lowest amount of its own that differs from the account minimum. Read it on the deposit page.
- Send the depositHFM says it does not apply deposit fees. What your own bank or card company does is a separate matter.
- Wait for it to arriveHFM shows a short upper limit in the table, and some methods are instant. Check the time shown for your method.
Which methods and amounts you see can change with the country you visit from.
HFM charging no deposit fee is a different matter from what your own bank or card company does. For withdrawals, HFM writes that the banks involved in a bank transfer may charge their own fees. For deposits too, it is safer to check the information from your own bank or card company.
Which payment tools sit inside the “Alternative” group is not recorded in this site’s data. The methods you can use can change with your region and currency, so check HFM’s deposit page.
Caution
HFM changes what its official pages show according to the country the visitor is in. If what you see differs from this site's table, go by the amounts and terms on your own screen. HFM also does not accept clients from some countries. Before you deposit, check on the official page and in the terms whether you can open an account where you live.
Point
A minimum deposit is the smallest amount you can start with, not an amount we suggest. Put in only money you can afford to lose.
5. Before you make the first deposit
- Decide which account type you want and check its minimum in the table and on the official page.
- Decide the account currency and check the amount in that currency.
- Compare the spread and the commission on HFM’s account comparison page too.
- Check which deposit methods work in your region on HFM’s deposit page, and read the minimum and the expected time for the method you pick.
- Check how your own bank or card company handles fees.
- Check whether you can open an account where you live.
- If you want a bonus, read its terms first.

Risks to keep in mind
Trading with leverage can lose money quickly. Even a small minimum deposit can be lost in full. This guide does not recommend any broker. Before you open an account, read the broker’s full terms, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
