Minimum deposit by broker

Before opening an account, most people want to know how much they need to start. This article lists the minimum deposits of the brokers this site has researched, by company and by account type. The amounts appear only in the table and are not written in the text, because brokers can change them.

The table is built from the data on this site each time the site is updated. Brokers are sorted by name only. It is not a ranking, and it does not recommend one broker over another.

Checked Nov 6, 2026 (Fri). Items the broker does not state are left out. Brokers are in alphabetical order, not ranked.

A broker or account that does not appear in the table is one whose minimum deposit could not be confirmed on its official pages. For those, check the broker’s official page. Even for the ones that do appear, check the amount on the official page again before you apply.

Three different minimum deposits

The phrase “minimum deposit” can mean three separate things. The table above shows the first one, the account minimum.

Three different minimum deposits
  1. 1The account minimumSet per account type

The smallest first deposit the broker asks for on that account. The table on this page shows this one.

  2. 2The deposit-method minimumSet per way of paying

Bank transfer, card, e-wallet and crypto can each have their own lowest amount. It can be higher than the account minimum.

  3. 3The bonus minimumSet per offer, or none

A deposit bonus can ask for its own minimum. Some offers state none. It is written in that offer's terms.

A low account minimum does not mean every method or bonus accepts that amount. Check all three on the official pages.

The first is the minimum set for each account type. The second is the minimum for each deposit method, and bank transfer, card, e-wallet and crypto can each have their own. The third is the minimum attached to an offer, such as a deposit bonus.

So a low account minimum does not settle the question. If the method you choose has a higher minimum, that is the amount you need, and a bonus may add its own. Here is how one broker’s terms tie a first deposit to the account type.

What it means. The first deposit follows the conditions of the account type you chose. In this offer, the first deposit is tied to the account type, rather than to a separate figure for the offer.

How to read the table

How to read one row of the tableExample
  1. 1BrokerSorted by name, not by rank. Click through to that broker's own page.
  2. 2LowestThe smallest amount among the account types the broker has published.
  3. 3By account typeEvery account type with a stated amount. A type that costs more usually comes with different conditions.

XX stands for an amount. The real amounts are in the table above.

“Lowest” is the smallest amount among the account types the broker has published. The right-hand column lists the amount for each account type. An account with a higher minimum usually differs in other ways too, such as how costs are charged. Do not choose an account by its minimum alone; compare the conditions of each account as well.

Some brokers do not state an amount for each account. Those brokers do not appear in the table. The amounts follow how each broker’s official page writes them, including the currency.

What to check before the first deposit

Before you make the first deposit
  1. Pick an account typeIts minimum is in the table
  2. Check the deposit methodEach method can have its own lowest amount
  3. If you want a bonus, read its minimumWritten in that offer's terms
  4. Prepare verificationOften needed before the first withdrawal
  5. Deposit and confirm it arrivedCompare the amount with what you sent

The step with the darker frame applies only when you use a deposit bonus.

Point

A minimum deposit is the smallest amount you can start with, not a recommended amount. Even if it is easy to start small, put in only money you can afford to lose.

Things to check before you apply

  1. Check the minimum deposit of the account type you want on the broker’s official page.
  2. Check the minimum, the fee and the time to arrive for each deposit method you plan to use.
  3. If you want a deposit bonus, read that offer’s own minimum and its withdrawal conditions in the terms.
  4. Check that residents of your country can open an account and that your region is covered.
  5. Prepare the documents needed for identity verification.

For how to read a deposit bonus, with one broker as an example, see How to read the FXGT deposit bonus terms. For a list of the no-deposit offers running now, see No-deposit bonuses compared.

Risks to keep in mind

Trading with leverage can lose money quickly. Even if the minimum deposit is small, you can lose all of it. This article does not recommend any broker. Read the broker’s full terms before you open an account, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
