No-deposit bonus restrictions and cautions
The no-deposit bonuses running now, and six kinds of restriction to read: who can join, accounts, countries, time, withdrawal and trading terms.
Published ・ MyBrokerBonus Editorial

A no-deposit bonus is trading credit that a broker gives you without asking for a deposit. The headline shows an amount, but the restrictions decide what you can actually do with it: who can receive it, which accounts and countries are covered, how long you have, what can be withdrawn, what you must trade and what happens when you withdraw. These restrictions are written in the terms, and each broker words them differently.
The bonus is offered by the broker, not by this site. This article does not rank brokers. It sorts the restrictions into kinds and shows how to compare them using the wording of the terms. Amounts and dates are left to the table, because brokers change them. The brokers are listed in name order, not by rank. To compare the offers themselves, read No-deposit bonuses compared.
Read the restrictions as six kinds
Sorting the restrictions into the six kinds below lets you compare brokers even when they word the terms differently.
| Kind of limit | What to read in the terms |
|---|---|
| 1. Who | New clients only, first account only, once per person |
| 2. Account and country | Eligible account types and excluded countries |
| 3. Time | The deadline to claim and how long it can be used |
| 4. What can come out | The bonus itself and the profit |
| 5. Trading terms | Volume, number of trades, instruments, combining |
| 6. A withdrawal | Whether the bonus or the profit is removed |
The table shows part of 1 to 3. Read the rest in the terms.
The table below can confirm part of kinds 1 to 3, and the amount and the end date. Kinds 4 to 6 are not in the table, so the rest of this article reads them from the terms.

Why the English table and the Japanese table differ
The same article has fewer rows when you read it in English. There are three main reasons.
- Offers made for Japan are not shown in the English list. AXIORY’s Japanese support credit, BigBoss, HFM, Milton Markets and XMTrading are in this group.
- AXIORY has a Japanese offer and an English offer, and they are listed as separate bonuses with separate pages and terms. The English table shows the one on the English page.
- Offers that Japan is excluded from are not shown in the Japanese table. The Tickmill Welcome Account is one: the list of countries where it is not available includes Japan.
The FXGT offer appears in both tables. An offer that has ended is dropped from both tables automatically. If you are viewing from the UK, the EU or Australia, the site’s rules hide the table altogether.
- Offered both in Japan and abroadShown in the Japanese and English tables.
- For Japan onlyShown in the Japanese table only.
- Not open to JapanShown in the English table only.
- Ended offersDropped from the table once it has ended.
Visitors from the UK, the EU and Australia do not see the table at all.
1. Who can join: new clients, the first account, once per person
Many no-deposit bonuses are for people opening a new account, but “new” does not mean the same thing everywhere. AXIORY limits its promotion to new clients. It also says only one no-deposit bonus is granted per client, excludes Alpha, Islamic and cTrader accounts, and requires an official invitation.
Tickmill words it differently.
Existing Clients cannot apply for a Welcome Account.
Tickmill, official page
What it means. Someone who is already a Tickmill client cannot get a Welcome Account. Tickmill also says each client can open only one.
FXGT is not limited to new members. Its page says all new and existing members whose account is verified and who have no deposit history on a trading account are eligible. So the rule is not always “new clients only”. A broker can include existing members who have not deposited yet.
2. Accounts and countries
Each offer names the accounts it covers. AXIORY lists the Standard, Nano, Tera, Zero and Max accounts. FXGT covers Standard and Mini accounts. Tickmill’s Welcome Account is its own account type, and Tickmill says it has the same trading conditions as the live Raw account.
Excluded countries are worded in different ways. Tickmill lists the countries where the Welcome Account is not available.
The Welcome Account is not available in: Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria
Tickmill, official page
What it means. This is the start of a longer list of countries where the account cannot be opened. The list that this site stored includes Japan, which is why this offer is shown in the English table only.
AXIORY says it does not provide its service to the inhabitants of a list of countries and regions. FXGT gives no list. It says the bonus is active in specific regions, and this site could only check the page from a Japanese IP address, so you need to check your own region on the official page.
3. Time: the claim deadline and how long you can use it
The period can be a time limit on the account or the date the offer ends. Tickmill states how long the account can be used.
The Welcome Account is available for trading for 60 days from the day of opening.
Tickmill, official page
What it means. The account is not open forever. The days are counted from the day it is opened, and the number is the one in the quote.
AXIORY gives a bonus expiration date, which the Ends column in the table shows. For FXGT, the number of days you can use the bonus could not be confirmed from its terms. Tickmill also says it can change the terms of the campaign or cancel it at any time.
4. What can be withdrawn: the bonus and the profit
In all three offers the bonus itself cannot be withdrawn. AXIORY says so directly.
The NDB is non-withdrawable and may be used as margin for trading purposes only.
AXIORY, official page
What it means. The credit (NDB, the no-deposit bonus) works as margin for your trades, but it cannot be taken out. FXGT says its bonus is for trading purposes only. Tickmill says the initial deposit cannot be withdrawn or transferred from the Welcome Account. So the question is about the profit.
How the profit is released differs by offer. AXIORY and FXGT release it after conditions are met. Tickmill lets you move only an amount between a stated minimum and a stated maximum, and says the account is disabled once the profit transfer is complete.
No condition
The terms say profit made with the bonus can be taken out freely.
Unlocked by conditions
Volume, number of trades or a first deposit must be done first. Until then the profit stays locked.
Within a limit
Only a stated range of the profit can be moved out. The rest is not paid.
Moved, then the account ends
The profit is moved to another place, and the account that made it can no longer be used.
The length of each bar is drawn only to show the difference. It is not any broker's amount.
5. Trading terms: volume, number of trades, instruments
Conditions for releasing profit usually involve trading. AXIORY asks for a first deposit and a minimum trading volume before the profit becomes withdrawable. FXGT wording is in Japanese on its page.
8GTロット以上の取引量達成・8回以上のクローズ済みトレード完了が条件となります。
FXGT.com, official page
What it means. The condition is both a trading volume and a number of closed trades, and you need both. The volume is counted in FXGT’s own GT lots, so check what that unit means on the official page. The quote is in Japanese, and the numbers are the ones in the original.
The terms also set rules about other things. Tickmill says Expert Advisors (EAs) are not allowed on Welcome Accounts. On combining offers, AXIORY says the promotion may be combined with other credit or cashback on trading volume. FXGT says you can keep joining other campaigns, but this one may not apply if you are already eligible for another no-deposit bonus.
6. What a withdrawal does
The biggest difference between offers is what happens to the bonus when you withdraw. The figure shows two types: everything is removed, or only a matching share is removed.
Everything is removed
The remaining credit and the bonus-only profit are removed.
Removed in proportion
Only the matching share of the bonus is removed.
The numbers are made up to show the difference. They are not any broker's terms.
AXIORY is an example of the first type.
If a withdrawal of deposited funds or outgoing internal transfer (ITF) occurs before both unlock conditions are completed, all remaining credit will be removed immediately, and any bonus-only profits will be set to zero.
AXIORY, official page
What it means. If you withdraw before both unlock conditions are met, the remaining credit disappears and the profit made with the bonus alone goes back to zero. AXIORY also says that after the conditions are met, the credit is reduced in proportion to the balance withdrawn.
FXGT says the credit is decreased in proportion when you transfer funds out of the live account. Tickmill says that once the profit transfer is complete, the Welcome Account is disabled and no further trading is possible.
Caution
With some offers, the treatment of a withdrawal depends on whether the conditions have been met. With AXIORY, withdrawing before the conditions are met removes all of the remaining credit. If you may withdraw, read how the offer cancels the bonus before you claim it.

Examples from single brokers are AXIORY no-deposit bonus conditions, FXGT no-deposit bonus: conditions and how to claim it and Tickmill bonuses and the Welcome Account.
Risks to keep in mind
Trading with leverage can lose money quickly. Using a bonus does not remove the loss on a trade. This article does not recommend any broker. Read the broker’s full terms before you open an account, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
