Tickmill bonuses: the Welcome Account and Japan

Tickmill's bonus is a Welcome Account for new clients. How to read its terms, why Japan is excluded, and its legal entities and regulators.

Tickmill bonuses

Tickmill is a CFD broker that operates through several legal entities. Search for “Tickmill bonus” and its official page shows a Welcome Account for new clients: a bonus that lets you start trading without depositing your own money. Tickmill also lists Japan among the countries where this offer is not available. This guide goes through what the offer is and where Japan stands, using what Tickmill writes on its own pages. The company that offers a bonus is the broker, never this site.

Amounts and the number of days appear only in the tables, never in the text, because Tickmill can change them. The tables are rebuilt from this site’s data every time the site is updated. Read the official page for the current details before you apply.

1. Tickmill at a glance

The broker’s basic facts are in one table. Only the items we could confirm are shown. A missing row means we could not confirm it on the official pages.

The Tickmill Ltd shown in the operating company row is one of Tickmill’s legal entities. It has others.

Tickmill operates through different legal entities for different countries and regions. This site’s data shows four.

Tickmill's four legal entities and their regulators

Tickmill UK Ltd

RegulatorFCA (UK)

Named as regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Tickmill Europe Ltd

RegulatorCySEC (Cyprus)

Named as regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd

RegulatorFSCA (South Africa)

Named with an FSP reference and regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority.

Tickmill Ltd

RegulatorFSA SC

The regulator is written as FSA SC in Tickmill's own wording. The entity has an address in Seychelles, and the broker table names it as the operating company.

Which entity you contract with decides which regulator applies. Check this in the sign-up flow and the terms.

Each entity has its own regulator. The same name, “Tickmill”, can mean a different entity and a different level of protection depending on which one you contract with. Find out which entity you will be contracting with before you apply.

3. The offer table: the Welcome Account

The only offer this site has confirmed for Tickmill is the Welcome Account, which counts as a no-deposit bonus. While it is running, it appears in this table.

Checked Nov 6, 2026 (Fri). Items the broker does not state are left out. Brokers are in alphabetical order, not ranked.

Visitors from the UK, the EU and Australia do not see this table, because the site hides bonus tables from those regions. Tickmill’s page also excludes many other countries, and Japan is one of them (see section 4).

This site’s records hold no Tickmill deposit bonus. A new one can appear on the official page, so check there before you apply.

4. What Tickmill writes about Japan

Tickmill mentions Japan in three places on its official pages.

All three point the same way: Tickmill itself says the Welcome Account is not available in Japan. Before you read the terms and think “I could get this”, check on the official page whether you are in a country it covers. This site’s Japanese pages do not list the offer for that reason.

5. Reading the Welcome Account terms in the original

Existing clients are excluded, as Tickmill’s own sentence says.

Existing Clients cannot apply for a Welcome Account.

Tickmill, official page

What it means. Only new clients can apply. If you already hold a Tickmill account, you cannot also take the Welcome Account.

The starting balance is for trading, not for taking out.

The Initial deposit cannot be withdrawn or transferred from the Welcome Account.

Tickmill, official page

What it means. The balance you are given cannot be withdrawn and cannot be moved elsewhere. It exists so that you can trade with it. Only profit is covered by a separate transfer procedure.

Automated trading is not allowed.

Expert Advisors (EAs) are not allowed on Welcome Accounts.

Tickmill, official page

What it means. You cannot run an EA on this account. You trade by hand, so an approach that depends on automation does not fit it.

Moving profit ends the account.

Once the profit transfer is completed, the Welcome Account will be disabled and no further trading will be possible.

Tickmill, official page

What it means. After the profit has been moved out, the Welcome Account is closed to trading. You cannot keep trading on it afterwards.

The offer can change.

Tickmill reserves the right to change the terms of the Campaign or cancel it at any time.

Tickmill, official page

What it means. Tickmill keeps the right to change the terms or end the offer. Even when no end date is stated, nothing says it will keep running, so check the page again just before you apply.

These terms make profit hard to receive. Moving profit takes several steps. The figure below sets out Tickmill’s explanation in order.

From the Welcome Account to moving profit, as Tickmill describes it
  1. Fill in the registration formOnce the application is approved, the account is created automatically and the login details arrive by email.
  2. Trade within the periodThe starting balance cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and Expert Advisors are not allowed.
  3. Prepare before asking to move profitRegister a Client Area account with the same details, provide ID documents and make a deposit into the wallet.
  4. Email support to request the transferThe request can be made once only, and the profit that can be moved has a lower and an upper limit.
  5. After the transferThe Welcome Account is disabled and no further trading is possible.

The amounts and the number of days are in the table above. Tickmill can change the terms or cancel the offer at any time.

The profit that can be moved has a lower and an upper limit, and moving it requires a deposit. The amounts are in the table above, in the conditions column. The bonus itself is received without a deposit, but taking profit out is where a deposit becomes necessary.

Caution

Tickmill states that its website is not intended for residents of Japan and that it is not supervised by the JFSA. This site cannot judge whether a resident of Japan can open an account or receive the Welcome Account. Check the official pages and the terms yourself.

Point

Tickmill describes the trading conditions of the Welcome Account as identical to its live Raw account. Two things differ from a live account: no EAs, and a starting balance that cannot be withdrawn. Thinking of it as a free trial account helps you avoid misreading the terms.

6. Before you apply

  1. Check on the official page that your country of residence is not on the Welcome Account’s excluded list.
  2. Find out which entity you will be contracting with and which regulator covers it.
  3. Read the eligibility terms: new clients only, one Welcome Account per client, and so on.
  4. Compare the trading period and the no-EA rule with how you actually trade.
  5. Learn the steps for moving profit in advance: Client Area registration, ID documents, a deposit, and the request to support.
  6. Look at the official page again just before you apply, in case the terms have changed or the offer has ended.

Risks to keep in mind

Trading with leverage can lose money quickly. A bonus does not protect you from losses. This guide does not recommend any broker. Before you open an account, read the broker’s full terms, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
