Deposit bonuses compared: rate, cap and conditions, read in the terms

The deposit bonuses running now in one table: rate, cap, deposit conditions and what a withdrawal does, with quotes from the terms.

Deposit bonuses compared

A deposit bonus is a perk in which the broker adds trading credit when you put money into your account. The headline shows a share of your deposit and a maximum, but that alone does not let you compare brokers. Which deposit it applies to, how the cap is counted and what happens when you withdraw all change what the bonus is worth.

The bonus is offered by each broker, not by this site. This article is not about which broker is better. It is about where to look when you compare. Rates and amounts appear only in the table and are not written in the text, because brokers can change them. Brokers are listed by name only. It is not a ranking.

Four things to compare in a deposit bonus

Splitting a deposit bonus into four parts lets you compare brokers even when they word things differently.

Four things to compare in a deposit bonus
What to compareWhat to read in the terms
1. RateShare of the deposit; first deposit only or every one
2. CapPer deposit, per month, or in total
3. Deposit conditionsMinimum deposit, eligible accounts, who can join
4. WithdrawalThe bonus, the profit, and what a withdrawal does

The table shows 1 to 3. Read 4 in the terms.

The table below can answer parts 1 to 3. Part 4, the treatment of withdrawals, is not in the table, so the second half of this article reads it in the terms.

Checked Nov 6, 2026 (Fri). Items the broker does not state are left out. Brokers are in alphabetical order, not ranked.

An item missing from the table is one that could not be confirmed on the official pages. A blank does not mean there is no condition. For those, check the broker’s official page. Even for what is shown, read the official terms again before you apply.

The English table and the Japanese table list different offers

The English table has fewer rows and fewer brokers than the Japanese one. There are three main reasons.

  • For some brokers, the English page and the Japanese page carry different offers. AXIORY and Milton Markets are examples: the offer pages and the conditions are separate.
  • XMTrading is listed as a broker for Japan, so it does not appear in the English list.
  • The Traders Trust deposit offers are listed as offers for Japan, so they do not appear in the English list.

Visitors from the UK, the EU and Australia do not see this table at all, because the site hides bonus tables from those regions.

Rate and cap: what they apply to, and how far

A rate such as “a share of the deposit” applies to different deposits depending on the offer. Some apply to the first deposit only (AXIORY, FXGT). Some apply to every deposit (HFM, and BigBoss for deposits made by BBC). One changes its rate after the first deposit (IC Markets), and one changes it by tier of total deposits (the BigBoss deposit bonus program).

The cap is counted in several ways too: a cap on the first deposit (AXIORY, FXGT), a cap per month (BigBoss, for BBC deposits), and a cap on the total per client (IC Markets). The same “up to” can mean very different amounts you can actually receive.

The amount shown is a ceilingExample
The largest amount the broker states (what the list shows)
What you actually receivecan be lower

Bar lengths are only an illustration, not any broker's figures.

The amount in the table is the largest amount the broker states. What you actually receive can be lower.

Deposit conditions: minimum deposit, accounts and who can join

“Minimum deposit” can mean three different things: the account minimum, the minimum of each deposit method, and the bonus minimum. Some bonuses set a minimum of their own. Others do not.

Three different minimum deposits
  1. 1The account minimumSet per account type

The smallest first deposit the broker asks for on that account. The table on this page shows this one.

  2. 2The deposit-method minimumSet per way of paying

Bank transfer, card, e-wallet and crypto can each have their own lowest amount. It can be higher than the account minimum.

  3. 3The bonus minimumSet per offer, or none

A deposit bonus can ask for its own minimum. Some offers state none. It is written in that offer's terms.

A low account minimum does not mean every method or bonus accepts that amount. Check all three on the official pages.

Eligible accounts and eligible people are also set offer by offer. HFM describes a bonus that goes only to a dedicated account.

The Top-up bonus can be added only to the Top-up Bonus account.

HFM, official page

What it means. The bonus does not go to just any account. It is added to one dedicated account, so you need to know which account the money has to go into before you deposit.

Who can join differs as well. IC Markets is open to people who are opening an account, including those who registered but have not yet deposited, and AXIORY to people who received an invitation. Whether a bonus can be combined with other offers also differs: FXGT says it can, and IC Markets says it cannot.

Withdrawals: the same word “bonus”, different things

Read withdrawals as three separate matters: whether the bonus itself can be withdrawn, when the profit can be withdrawn, and what happens to the bonus when you withdraw.

Many bonuses are credit for trading only, and the terms say plainly that it cannot be taken out.

Bonus credit cannot be withdrawn or converted into a balance.

AXIORY, official page

What it means. The credit can sit in the account and back your trades, but it cannot be turned into a balance you withdraw. Whatever the headline amount, it is not money you can take out.

Some offers are different. Another broker describes a kind of bonus that can be withdrawn once its conditions are met.

This is a withdrawable bonus, meaning both the bonus amount and any profits can be withdrawn after you meet the stated conditions.

Milton Markets, official page

What it means. For this kind of bonus, the bonus itself and the profit can both be withdrawn, but only after the stated conditions are met. What the conditions are differs from offer to offer, so read them on that offer’s page.

Profit is treated differently too. Some terms put no limit on it.

Profits created from the Top-up Bonus can be withdrawn with no restrictions.

HFM, official page

What it means. For this offer, the profit made with the bonus can be taken out without extra conditions. This applies to the profit only; the bonus itself is covered by the first matter. Check the rest of the same page for anything else that applies.

The biggest difference is what a withdrawal does to the bonus. The figure shows two patterns side by side: everything removed, or a share removed.

Withdraw half of the balance before the conditions are metExample

Everything is removed

Credit before100
Credit after0

The remaining credit and the bonus-only profit are removed.

Removed in proportion

Credit before100
Credit after50

Only the matching share of the bonus is removed.

The numbers are made up to show the difference. They are not any broker's terms.

One way of writing it is a removal in proportion to what you took out.

The bonus removal is proportional to the percentage of the withdrawal amount.

HFM, official page

What it means. The bonus shrinks in step with the share of the money you withdraw. A small withdrawal removes a small part of the bonus, and taking everything out removes all of it.

Another way is to remove everything if you move money before the conditions are done.

If a withdrawal of deposited funds or outgoing internal transfer (ITF) occurs before both unlock conditions are completed, all remaining credit will be removed immediately, and any bonus-only profits will be set to zero.

AXIORY, official page

What it means. If you withdraw your own deposit, or move money out to another account, before both unlock conditions are done, the rest of the credit goes at once, and so does the profit made from the bonus alone. Note that the sentence covers an internal transfer, not just a withdrawal.

Caution

A rate and a cap can look attractive while the treatment of withdrawals is strict. If you may need to take your deposit out early, check in that offer's terms which pattern applies before you deposit.

What to check before you apply

  1. Check which deposit the rate applies to: the first one only, every one, or by tier.
  2. Check whether the cap is per deposit, per month or in total.
  3. Check the bonus minimum deposit, the minimum of your deposit method, the eligible accounts and who can join.
  4. Check whether the bonus itself can be withdrawn, when the profit can be withdrawn, and what happens to the bonus if you withdraw.
  5. For anything missing from the table, read the broker’s official page.

For the withdrawal patterns side by side, see Bonus withdrawal conditions compared. For how to read the terms of one offer, see How to read bonus withdrawal conditions. For minimum deposits, see Minimum deposit by broker. For examples from single brokers, see How to read the FXGT deposit bonus terms and BigBoss bonus types and what to watch for.

Risks to keep in mind

Trading with leverage can lose money quickly. Using a bonus does not remove the loss on a trade. This article does not recommend any broker. Read the broker’s full terms before you open an account, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
